Emerald Renewables is developing Eswatini's first large-scale wood pellet manufacturing plant - converting sustainable plantation forestry residues into certified renewable biomass energy for international power generation.
In addition to the above IEE and CMP, PRIM has conducted a comprehensive Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) and Emerald Renewables has supplemented the projects IEE and CMP with additional specialist studies and an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP).
